Micro-PET IQ Phantom
For performance evaluation of Micro-PET systems according to NEMA NU 4
OVERVIEW
- According to NEMA standard NU 4
The NEMA NU 4 standard provides a standardized method for evaluating the performance of positron emission tomographs (PET) designed for small animal imaging.
The Micro-PET IQ Phantom is made of PMMA and has a large cavity (D = 30 mm) on the first half of the cylinder to be filled with an isotope (hot region). The large cavity comprises two smaller cavities separated from that volume, which are filled with water and air (cold regions).
The second half of the cylinder houses five smaller cavities (D = 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm), aligned radially around the phantom length axis, providing a connection to the first half of the cylinder, which is filled with an isotope (hot region).
