For testing the imaging performance of dental cone-beam CT systems


  • Compact phantom for acceptance and constancy tests according to DIN / IEC 61223-3-5 and 61223-2-6


The Dental CBCT Phantoms (expert or basic versions available) are designed to evaluate the imaging performance of cone-beam CTs, e.g., in dental application or for Digital Volume Tomography (DVT) systems.

The following image quality parameters can be determined according to DIN IEC 61223-3-5 or DIN IEC 61223-2-6:

  • CT value uniformity
  • CT value accuracy
  • image noise
  • contrast-to-noise ratio
  • spatial resolution (3D MTF, sphere).

The expert version also allows the determination of the spatial resolution (visual, hole pattern) and checks the artifact behavior of metal, bone and soft tissue.
