Thorax Phantom

For testing the influence of scan parameters in CT

  • D100 compatible (dosimetry option with dose insert available)
  • Includes spine and lung lobes
  • Customizable

The Thorax Phantom is used as anthropomorphic surrounding for several standard imaging inserts. It comprises artificial lung lopes, a spine insert, and a shell of soft tissue-equivalent material.

The plastics used within the antropomorphic phantom mimic human tissues with respect to density and X-ray attenuation characteristics of a human thorax.
It consists of a standard bore hole with a 100 mm diameter into which multiple standard cylinders for image quality purposes can be inserted (please refer to the index "D100 compatible).

The Thorax Phantom is also available as a dosimetry version with drilled holes acc. to CTDI specifications for dosimetry purposes.
